Most rooms take 20-30 minutes, and a typical 3-bedroom home is completed in about 90 minutes. Our truck-mounted system works faster than portable units because of the higher heat and stronger suction. If you are combining carpet cleaning with upholstery, tile, or pet treatment in the same visit, the entire job usually runs 2-3 hours. We give you a specific arrival window when we confirm your booking, and we lock your price in writing before we start.
How long until my carpets are dry? add
With our truck-mounted extraction, carpets are touch-dry within 90 minutes and fully dry in 2-4 hours. You can walk on them in clean socks right after we leave. Portable units often leave carpets wet for 12-24 hours, which risks mildew growth, browning on jute-backed carpet, and odors. We run high-velocity air movers during the cleaning to speed drying, and most clients are back to using their rooms normally by the end of the same day.
Will carpet cleaning remove pet stains and odors? add
In most cases, yes. Our 250°F steam kills odor-causing bacteria at the fiber level. For deep urine saturation, we apply an enzymatic pre-treatment that breaks down the uric acid crystals other cleaners leave behind, then use subsurface extraction to pull contamination out of the backing and pad. If a stain we successfully treated during your cleaning returns within 30 days, JMP Cleaning will come back and re-treat it at no charge. This is a written guarantee, not a verbal promise. Most San Diego carpet cleaners cover only 24 to 48 hours. We back our work for a full month because our truck-mounted 250°F steam extraction actually removes the soil and residue that causes stains to wick back to the surface, instead of just masking them.
What is included in the Whole-Home Plus package? add
The Whole-Home Plus package is $499 and includes four carpeted rooms plus your living room and dining room, one hallway, and a loveseat — with free deodorizer and free pet enzyme treatment included. It is our best value for larger homes and works out far cheaper than booking each area separately. Larger or heavily soiled homes may need add-ons like stairs or extra rooms; we quote those in writing up front so there are no surprises on the day of service.
Do you move furniture during carpet cleaning? add
We move standard furniture like dining chairs, small tables, and ottomans at no charge as part of the service. Large or heavy items — beds, dressers, entertainment centers, and full bookcases — stay in place, and we clean around and under them as far as our wand reaches. If you would like large furniture moved, let us know when booking so we can plan the time. We always use protective tabs and blocks to keep furniture legs off damp carpet while it dries.
